2. EDUCATION SYSTEM IN SINGAPORE?
The Education System in Singapore is as below :
I. Nursery (1 yr), Kindergarten (K1 & K2) (2 yrs) (total 3 years)
II. Primary (PSLE) (6 years)
III. Secondary (O Level) (4 years)
IV. Secondary (N Level) (4 years) > Secondary (O Level) (1 year)
V. Junior College (JC) (Pre-University) (A Level) (2 years)

3. Entry Requirements:
Entry requirements vary from institution to institution. As English is the common language of instruction, most institutions require students to meet a minimum standard of English. Generally, certification of competence in English is in the form of: " General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) " Test of English As a Foreign Language (TOEFL) " International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Besides English, different institutions and courses have different minimum requirements. Fees for international students at the three local universities as at Academic Year 2003-2004 are: Course Tuition Fees Per Year Non Lab Based S$19,350 Lab Based S $21,350 Dentistry, Medicine S $ 80,800 Music S $39,000 Non-laboratory based courses are Accountancy, Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Law and Mass Communication. Laboratory based courses are Architecture, Building & Real Estate, Industrial Design, Computing, Engineering, Pharmacy and Science.

5. Cost of Living:
The standard of living in Singapore is amongst the highest in Asia. An international student in Singapore spends on average about S$750 to S$2,000 a month on living expenses. This amount of course, varies depending on your individual lifestyle and course of study.

6. Admission procedure:
" COMPLETE the University Course Application Form, Application fee payable to University Name " 2 recent passport-sized photographs of applicant " Applicant's highest Educational Certificates and transcripts (certified or notarised copy) " Documentary proof of financial ability in the form of bank statements/ fixed deposit accounts/ saving accounts (photocopy)

7. Student Visa procedure:
For applicants who require a visa to enter Singapore, ensure that your application for the student pass is submitted to the ICA at least two months before the start of the course.
